Test Standards

BGA Testing shown in IEC 60068-2-69 and employed in IPC J-STD-002C is incorrect. Gen3 Systems test work has shown that 1mm and 0.8mm pitch BGA’s recommend: 1mm pin Globule using a 10mg solder pellet and an immersion depth of 0.05mm give the most stable results.
