Gen3 Systems announces product line up for Southern Manufacturing
07 March 2017

Gen3 Systems Limited, a specialist British manufacturer and distributor, is pleased to announce that it will exhibit on stands J19 and J20 at Southern Manufacturing, scheduled to take place March 21st – 23rd at FIVE in Farnborough, Hampshire.

The HIROX Microscope system will be displayed on stand J19.  The Hirox Digital Microscope System supports magnifications of up to 7000×. A primary difference between an optical and a digital microscope is the magnification. With an optical microscope the magnification is the lens magnification multiplied by the eyepiece magnification. The magnification for a digital microscope is defined as the ratio of the size of image on the monitor to the subject size.  On display will be the RH-2000, the new digital microscope.  The new high-speed Genex Graphics Processor allows Hirox’s CCD camera to capture 24 fps with the continuous high-quality resolution of 1200x1600 pixels.

The Global Award Winning Gensonic, Stencil Cleaning, system will be displayed with a 24" stencil frame. The system uses a 40kHz on-contact ultrasonic transducer for high efficiency cleaning of stencil apertures.  The Gensonic can be used either in conjunction with Gen3 stencil cleaning centres or is portable enough to be taken directly to the printer.

Also on display, the OPTILLIA HD W30x System, which is a cost-effective solution for inspection, repair and rework.  The W30x-HD deploys cutting edge High Definition live video technology and offers superior resolution, contrast and colour reproduction with its built-in 30x auto focus zoom optics. This macro-inspection camera is ideal for visual examination and quality control of assembled boards, wires, connectors and similar objects.

Alongside Gen3 their Principle, MEK, will be exhibiting their SpiderEye and PowerSpector GTAz 350.  The MEK SpiderEye Machine Vision System is a static AOI system for the automated inspection and identification of moving objects.  Ideal for use across countless industries to detect defects and verify parts for product assembly, SpiderEye is totally portable and can be quickly mounted virtually anywhere on the production line. This flexibility eliminates the need for investment in multiple static machines.

The MEK PowerSpector GTAz 350 desktop AOI is designed for maximum defect coverage whilst maintaining short programming times. With its totally newly developed mechanical platform, it is the only desktop AOI in the market that can be equipped with nine cameras: one top and eight side cameras. MEK has over 5000 machines in use worldwide; the 24-bit imaging technology is driving powerful process control and maximum production yield for MEK electronics assembly and microelectronics customers everywhere.

In addition to the above, Gen3 also manufactures conformal coating process equipment – bench-top and in-line systems, and SIR, CAF and solderability testing systems. They also offer a range of test services. The company distributes products for Finetech, Optilia, Vacunest, Stoelting, Hirox and MBTech.
